Australian Packaging Company Signet and Basketball Australia have extended a major sponsorship of the Australian Boomers ahead of an exciting period for the team.
In addition to an extensive content partnership, Signet’s logo will continue to feature front and centre on the Boomers’ jersey during non-Olympic campaigns and their support is integral to the Boomers’ future success. The Premium partnership has Signet creating compelling behind the scenes content, further connecting fans with the national team and helping elevate the sport across the country and to Signet’s vast number of business customers.
The packaging company has always been a strong supporter, partnering with the Boomers for previous FIBA Basketball World Cups and the Tokyo 2020 Olympic campaign leading to the team’s first ever Olympic medal. With a 56-year history, Signet has grown to become Australia’s favourite packaging supplier with a national footprint of production and warehouse facilities in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Townsville and Perth.
CEO of Basketball Australia, Matt Scriven, said he was delighted to have Signet as part of the basketball family.
“We know the team at Signet are passionate about increasing the visibility of the sport within Australia and connecting the Boomers with more fans,” Scriven said.
“Having these shared visions and a genuine alignment with a partner is the perfect recipe for success, so I’m thrilled Signet have continued to support the Boomers and Australian basketball, “We look forward to working with the Signet team as we head into a very exciting and busy period on the basketball calendar.”
GM, Marketing & Strategy, Matt Henry, said it was an exciting time to continue partnering with arguably the most talented men’s Basketball team Australia has ever assembled.
“Signet’s customers have traditionally been hard-working Aussie underdogs with big dreams and the Australia Boomers personify those traits perfectly”, Henry said.
“The Boomers shaking their underdog status and contending with the world’s best is an inspiration to so many Aussies and we look forward to continuing to help amplify that story to all Aussies.”
