Keeping practice fresh and varied is an ongoing quest for coaches at all levels of the sport and assists with creating a positive learning environment for players to flourish. Striking a balance between skill/platform drills, small -sided games and competition is important so players can develop technique, understanding and decision making.
The Basketball Australia Centre of Excellence coaches continue to share various drills with coaches across the country, with a view to showing what the emerging young athletes in the program do as part of their daily training environment.

We have been fortunate to have our Boomers and Opals coaches share their knowledge, as well as COE, WNBL, NBL and NBA coaches contribute to coach development throughout the year.
One of the highlights of Australian coaching and coaches is the spirit of sharing and we would like to thank and acknowledge coaches across the country for their ongoing commitment to supporting youth development and developing others.
