Hailing from Mackay, Zac’s journey into wheelchair basketball began through his school teacher, who had a similar disability and played for the local Mackay wheelchair basketball team. Knowing Zac was passionate about basketball, his teacher introduced him to the sport, and Zac has never looked back.
With strong family support, especially from his parents, Zac has thrived, achieving notable successes, including winning bronze twice at the Kevin Combs Cup.
Zac looks up to Tristan Knowles as a role model, and aspires to play like him, building his skill set to become an all-round player capable of shooting the ball at a high percentage, rebounding, and being a dominant finisher inside.
Zac sees himself as a coachable player, wanting to play his role so whatever team he plays in can succeed.
