National Coaches Conference hits Canberra
Over 250 Australian and International coaches converge in Canberra for the 8th National Coaches Conference.
Based in Melbourne, Rhys was introduced to wheelchair basketball through a friend, and his passion for the sport has grown ever since.
Competing in the Kevin Combs Cup, Rhys has learned valuable lessons about the game, supported by his dad, who encourages him to never give up without giving his best effort.
Rhys is inspired by the opportunities the sport offers and maintains a sense of humour about his style of play, which he likens to a "headless chicken" on the court.
Playing Style:
Rhys describes his playing style as chaotic, with high energy and unpredictability, always moving around with speed and purpose on the court to maximise his impact on both sides of the court.
Did you know?
Rhys’s favourite movie is Jurassic Park 2, and his favourite food is beef schnitzel.
Despite his active lifestyle, he has never broken a bone!
