Steph Talbot has established herself as one of the Opals leading lights.
The 29-year-old most recently faced a setback in the form of an ACL injury over the past 12 months to return to the court and be on the cusp of a third Olympic Games.
After graduating from the Centre of Excellence, Talbot began her career in the WNBL with the Adelaide Lightning and her talent and potential was immediately acknowledged when she was awarded 2013 Rookie of the Year.
Talbot would play for Canberra and Melbourne before returning to the Lightning and in 2020 was crowned the Suzy Batkovic Medallist for league MVP.
She was a dominant force for the Opals on home soil at the 2022 FIBA World Cup helping guide her country to a bronze medal while earning All-Star Five accolades.
In five seasons in the WNBA, she has played for Minnesota Lynx and Seattle Storm and also plied her trade in Poland and France.
Did You Know?
Talbot is one of a handful of Australians to win a gold medal on home soil, part of the Opals team who finished top of the podium at the 2018 Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast.
