Andrew Gaze is considered by most Australians as our greatest-ever basketballer.

The five-time Olympian represented Australia at the 1984, 1988, 1992, 1996, and 2000 Olympics, carrying the flag at the Opening Ceremony in Sydney.

He also wore the Boomers green and gold proudly at four World Championships (1986, 1990, 1994 and 1998) and has been the leading scorer for Australia in numerous Olympic and World Championship campaigns.

His NBL career has included countless honours including leading the NBL in scoring for an astounding 16 years in a row from 1986 to 2001. He owns the leagues highest ever points per game average for a single season with 44.1 PPG in 1987.

Gaze has also been named as the greatest player in the league’s 25-year history.
