Mitchell Bond, hailing from Geelong, found his way into wheelchair basketball through competing in track and athletics.
Growing up in a highly competitive family, sport was always a key part of Mitchell’s life, helping him bond with friends and teammates.
His first coach, Richard Coleman, introduced him to the world of competitive sport, fostering his early athletic career.
Mitchell's major achievements include competing in the 2022 U23 World Championships in Thailand, and winning the "Young Player of the Year" award in the National League season 2024.
Playing Style:
Mitchell describes himself as a shooter with some playmaking ability, helping to contribute to his team’s offense.
