The Wombats are through to the Commonwealth Games semi-finals after producing two dominant performances overnight in Glasgow.
The women dismantled Nigeria 19–2 before the men followed with a 21–6 victory over Wales, ensuring both Australian wheelchair 3x3 teams remain in the hunt for medals.
For the women, it was another commanding display built on defensive pressure, smart ball movement and the red-hot form of Georgia Munro-Cook.
The experienced Aussie has been one of the tournament’s standout performers and once again led from the front, finishing with eight points, four rebounds and four key assists against Nigeria.
The men were equally impressive against Wales.
Young gun Eithen Leard produced an outstanding all-round performance, recording eight points, four rebounds and three key assists as Australia raced to the 21-point target.
The result continued an impressive campaign from a group determined to defend the title Australia won in Birmingham four years ago.
Both teams now face the host nation Scotland in the semi-finals with the men taking the court at 9:30pm AEST, before the women face Scotland at midnight AEST.
They will form part of a huge night for Australian 3x3 basketball, with all four Australian teams playing for a spot in the gold medal matches.
The Gangurrus men begin the action against Scotland at 8:30pm AEST, while the Gangurrus women face Jamaica from 10:30pm AEST.
