The Crocs are one win away from the Gold Medal Game at the FIBA U17 Basketball World Cup, with a powerhouse Semi-Final clash against the United States awaiting in Istanbul.
Australia booked its place in the final four with a commanding 100-86 Quarter-Final win over Canada, continuing an unbeaten run through the tournament and setting up one of the biggest tests in junior international basketball.
The Crocs were sharp from the outset against Canada, piling on 26 points in the opening quarter before maintaining control for the remainder of the contest. Luke Paul led the way with a standout performance, finishing with 21 points, 10 assists and 29 efficiency as Australia’s depth and balance again came to the fore.
The United States has long been the benchmark at the FIBA U17 Basketball World Cup and enters the Semi-Final with a perfect record in the competition.
A place in the Gold Medal Game is on the line, with the winner advancing to Sunday’s Final and the loser to contest the Bronze Medal Game.
