An Australian Select side are in Hangzhou, Zhejiang for a series against China, Netherlands featuring emerging stars.
The AUS Select team is led by Luke Brennan (SEM Phoenix) as Head Coach and Reyne Smith as captain.
AUS 78 - 69 NED | GAME TWO
The Australians rebounded from Sunday nights loss to China with a steady 78 - 69 win over the Netherlands.
Richmond Spiders guard Will Johnston led the Aussies with 17 points. Johnston impressed across both games for AUS. Reyne Smith rounded out a solid road trip with 16.
Kuai Deng added spark off the bench again and put another performance in against the Dutch.
Ben Griscti went 3-for-3 and led rebounds with seven alongside SEM Phoenix's Daniel Foster.
Jacob Holt was solid again as a versatile big and finished with ten points, six rebounds.
CHN 91 - 81 AUS | GAME ONE
There was a solid response for Brennan’s men despite a poor start, rallying but falling to China 91 - 81 in Game One.
“The boys ramped up their physicality on defense that allowed us to find our pace on offense," said Brennan.
“I was impressed with the way the guys went out and competed. They never backed down in a hostile environment and played the right way for 40 minutes”
Emmett Adair top scored for Australia with 18 points, Reyne Smith had 14 and big man Jacob Holt battled well against Hu Jo.
The series also marks a big moment for Ben Griscti, who dons the green and gold for the first time after recovering from a neck injury suffered at the NBL Blitz in September last year.
“It was special to see Ben pull the green and gold back on. He’s had a rough 12 months, and it’s a credit to himself and his work rate to put him back in this position”
