Fagan Bound for Hoop Summit

Australian rising star named among world’s top prospects for 2026 showcase in Portland.

Sitaya Fagan’s selection to the 2026 Nike Hoop Summit marks another significant step in the rise of one of Australia’s most promising young talents, as she earns a place on the World Select Team for one of basketball’s premier global showcase events.

Set to take place in Portland this April, the Nike Hoop Summit brings together the best emerging international prospects against the United States’ top high school athletes, with Fagan’s inclusion among just 12 international selections.

A product of Basketball Australia’s Centre of Excellence, Fagan's recent international résumé speaks for itself, highlighted by a gold medal and MVP performance at the 2025 FIBA U17 Women’s Oceania Cup, alongside a silver medal at the FIBA U19 Women’s World Cup and multiple podium finishes across junior competitions.

Across those tournaments, her ability to influence games on both ends of the floor has become a defining feature of her development.

Now part of the USC women’s basketball program, Fagan continues to build her game within a highly competitive collegiate environment, having already drawn strong interest as one of the leading prospects in her class. At 6’4”, her combination of size, mobility and defensive presence positions her as a modern forward capable of impacting multiple phases of the game.

With increasing numbers of players transitioning through NCAA programs and into professional environments, opportunities such as this remain an important bridge between junior success and senior-level impact.
