3x3 Gangurrus to defend Asia Cup titles

Both teams boast a strong history on the Asian stage and will be aiming to go back-to-back in Singapore.

The Australian 3x3 Gangurrus teams have been confirmed for the FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup set to be hosted at the Kallang, Singapore from 1 – 5 April.

Two Olympians feature on the women’s roster with Amy Atwell (Rockingham Flames) and Kristy Wallace (Knox Raiders), who were part of the Australian Opals team that claimed bronze at the 2024 Paris Olympics. They are joined by established 3x3 talents Lara McSpadden (Keilor Thunder) and Emma Clarke (Ringwood Hawks).

The men’s roster holds Asia Cup experience, including 2025 champions Dillon Stith (Kilsyth Cobras) and Jonah Antonio (East Perth Eagles). Sam McDaniel (Ipswich Force) returns after his Champions Cup debut, while DJ Mitchell gets his first call-up in the green and gold.

Australia’s 3x3 Gangurrus have been a dominant force in the Asian 3x3 landscape since entering the fold in 2017.

The men have claimed five titles from seven campaigns. They will aim to make it three in a row in 2026. The women are equally as decorated, with five gold medal finishes including titles at the last three Asian summits.
