She Hoops Delivers Its Biggest Ever Clinic on the Gold Coast

Unforgettable access to the heroes shaping Australian women’s basketball.

The Gold Coast turned up in a big way as She Hoops delivered its largest clinic to date at the Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre, bringing global basketball icons home to connect with the next generation.

Led by Opals Head Coach Sandy Brondello, alongside former Opals captain Tess Madgen and current WNBA and Opals star Ezi Magbegor, the sold-out girls-only clinic gave young athletes rare on-court time with three women who have shaped Australian basketball at the highest level.

Across the session, participants were taken through skill work and games while also hearing stories from the world stage and gaining insights into the pathways available to them. Brondello and Magbegor each spent time answering questions, offering guidance and encouraging the girls to back themselves as players and as people.

“Moments like today can spark something big. If any of these girls walk away believing they can chase a pathway in basketball, then we’ve done our job.” — Tess Madgen

Thanks to Experience Gold Coast and Jayco, the event brought together community, inspiration and elite mentorship in one memorable morning.
