Suzy has invaluable knowledge and experience in strategic planning and financial management, governance and infrastructure management

She is the Deputy Mayor and Councillor with Townsville City Council.

Suzy has 23 years’ experience as a professional basketball player, beginning as a 15-year-old with a scholarship to the Australian Institute of Sport. She has had playing contracts in Australia (WNBL), the United States (WNBA) and Europe (Euro League and Euro Cup). She has also represented Australia at World Championships and three Olympic Games, winning two silver medals and a bronze medal at the Olympic Games.

Suzy was appointed to the BA Board in January 2023. She is currently the Chair of the High-Performance Committee.
